Abdullah bin Salem opens 4th Forum of Human Resources and Labour Market Officials in GCC

SHARJAH, 28th October, 2015 (WAM) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, today opened the Fourth Forum of Human Resources and Labour Market Officials in the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States.
The two-day event is being organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. The forum, being held under the logo “Towards promising opportunities for GCC cadres in the labour market”, is jointly organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the General Secretariat of the Union of GCC Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Human Resources Committee and GCC Labour market.
The forum deals with several issues, notably those of social responsibility in human resources development, the role of the media in human resources development and empowerment, job security and how to localise jobs in the GCC private sector, and the mechanisms to support and encourage private investment from business pioneers.
Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI, delivered the UAE statement, indicating that the UAE is a role model thanks to its valuable efforts exerted, the results accomplished and the achievements in the process of building and preparation Emirati human resources with a strategic partnership between the public and private sector.
