Abu Dhabi police puts 46 new speed cameras in operation in Al Ain

ABU DHABI: Forty six new speed cameras are now in operation at all the entrances of Al Ain City to curb over-speeding, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police has announced.

Colonel Khalifa Al Khaili, Director of Traffic and Road Safety Engineering Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said 32 new speed cameras will also be installed on the internal roads of Al Ain as part of a multi-phased plan to reduce accidents and fatalities and increase road traffic safety.

Al Khaili noted that eight of the new speed cameras will detect and “catch” violating vehicles passing in either direction of two-way roads.
