ADMA-OPCOcommissions NASR Phase-1 facilities

ABU DHABI, 4th February, 2015 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company, ADMA-OPCO, has commissioned its NASR Phase-1 facilities, producing its first oil on 24th January 2015 from the NASR Field located ofshore from Abu Dhabi.

The first well flowed at 6,000 BOPD and joined the offshore production system. It is a significant step in achieving Abu Dhabi Oil production goals. ADMA-OPCO plans to add 300,000 barrels per day capacity by developing three new fields Offshore, and NASR Field will contribute 65,000 barrels per day to this goal progressively. NASR Phase-I project will add 22,000 barrels per day by the end of 2015 and the rest will be added by Full Field Development in 2018.

The Nasr Phase 1 facilities include two wellhead towers accommodating oil producing wells, a manifold tower, solar powered control systems, subsea in-field and export pipelines, water injection, fibre optic cable, brown field modifications at Umm Shaif and Total ABK complex. The Nasr Phase 1 facilities are remotely operated from Umm Shaif Supercmplex. The oil from Nasr field is exported via a 20 Inch multiphase subsea pipeline to Total Abu Al Bukoosh facilities for processing and to Das Island for storage and export. This phase will add 22,000 barrels of oil by 2015, when all oil producers are drilled and operational.

The full field development includes addition of seven new wellhead towers, a supercomplex with oil processing, gas lift and utility facilities. Processed oil will be directly exported to Das Island. Once NASR field is fully developed, its oil production will peak at 65,000 BPD.

The EPC contract for NASR phase-I facilities was awarded to Larsen and Toubro, India in July 2011. The production facilities have been fabricated in Sohar, Oman and were successfully transported to NASR Field for installation in 2014.

The EPC contract for Full Field Development has been awarded on Lump Sum basis under two separate contracts known as NASR FFD Package 1 to NPCC, Abu Dhabi and ULFFD package 2 to HHI. These are currently under various phases of design and construction and are planned to be installed progressively from 2015 to early 2018. The facilities are expected to be operational in 2018.

These mega size developments are in line with the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow up of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. They are executed on the directives of the Supreme Petroleum Council, SPC, reinforcing ADNOCs commitment to growing its oil and gas portfolio capacity and demonstrating that ADMA-OPCO is well positioned to deliver the growth in demand in both the medium and long term.

The development of NASR field over the next few years will strengthen the long-term future of ADMA-OPCO. It is a further demonstration of ADMA-OPCO commitment to the government and its shareholders.
