Dundee, 26th February, 2015 (WAM) — The Al-Maktoum College of Higher Education in Dundee will hold on Friday a graduation ceremony for a 49-strong group of female students from the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia who have completed the annual Academic Training Programme (ATP).

This is the first time the Malaysian university has been involved with the ATP.

The event will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and patron of the College.

Forty nine students from eight universities and colleges in the UAE, and five from University of Malaya in Malaysia undertook a four-week study programme on Multiculturalism, Globalisation, Leadership and Management. The programme also included tours of major educational and cultural institutions and historic landmarks in Scotland and Britain.

This is the 19th such educational programme since the first College Summer School in 2003 and brings the total number of students visiting Dundee for programmes at the College to over 800.
