Bee’ah delivers new educational workshops at Sajaya headquarters launch

SHARJAH, 22nd February, 2015 (WAM) — Bee’ah has delivered the first in a series of environmental education programmes within the framework of a two year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah.

The event was organised under the patronage and directives of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi on 19th February to inspire and teach young females about environmental concerns and waste management issues on their journey to leadership in Sharjah.

Bee’ah’s educational programme was delivered in unison with the unveiling of the new corporate identity of Sajaya Young Ladies. Bee’ah’s tailor-made educational programme focussed upon the core subjects of Bee’ah’s extensive work ranging from recycling and waste disposal to renewable energy and sustainable living in Sharjah, and aimed to both inspire action and educate future female leaders at Sajaya.

Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah, spoke of the first educational programme by saying, “The shared interests of Bee’ah and Sajaya have been united today with the successful completion of the first in a long line of environmental programmes designed specifically for the talented young women of Sharjah.” He continued, “The passionate pursuit of such admirable objectives by the younger generation creates unbounded confidence that the objectives of both Bee’ah and Sajaya will be achieved and we will move to even greater accomplishments in the future as a result of this younger generation of environmentally conscious leaders who pass through our partnership.” Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah is a leading organisation dedicated to nurturing talented young women in the age group 12 to 18 years in various fields of creativity. It was originally founded under the umbrella of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs as a subsidiary department of the Sharjah Children Centres and is aimed at developing greater attention and incentives towards cultivating inventiveness while supporting young girls who are ambitious and committed to pursuing a bright future for themselves and the Emirate of Sharjah.

Sheikha Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, acting in her capacity as Assistant Director of Sajaya Young Ladies, described the opening of the new headquarters as, “A momentous and joyous occasion” and went on to describe Bee’ah’s environmental programme as “an optimistic, inspiring and educational tour of the current and future environmental goals of our emirate and an insightful look at sustainability and what it means to live responsibly”.

She concluded by saying, “The first of many educational programmes delivered to the girls at Sajaya was a great success and we are looking forward to many more stimulating educational programmes over the coming two years.” The event was accompanied by a variety of workshops, activities and exciting surprises specially prepared for the occasion, including games, photography, caricature, confectionary making, doll workshop, wax workshop, creative thinking games, face painting and a children’s zone.
