China tops Algeria’s supplier list for second year

ALGIERS: China has emerged as Algeria’s largest supplier in the first 11 months of 2014, figures from customs showed on Sunday.

China topped the list of the largest supplier of Algeria with US$7.44 billion, followed by France with US$5.89 billion, according to the figures reported by Algeria Press Service.

China exceeded France for the first time in 2013 by developing non-oil trade exchanges worth more than US$8 billion.

China and Algeria raised their bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership in February, 2014, the first of its kind among China’s relationships with Arab countries.
