Czech President visits SZGM

ABU DHABI, 13th February, 2015 (WAM) — Czech President Milos Zeman visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (SZGM) today, as part of his current visit to the UAE.

Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs and head of the honourary mission accompanying the Czech President, accompanied Zeman.

They were received upon their arrival by Yousif Al Obaidli, the Director-General of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Zeman visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, where he cited Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and wise approach, which contributed to enhancing the culture of tolerance and peaceful existence among peoples across the world.

Later, the Czech President visited various facilities in the mosque and was briefed on its history. At the end of the tour, Al Obaidali gave Zeman copies of the Centre of Mosque’s publications.
