Dar Al Ber honoured during Sharjah Charity Int’l silver jubilee gala

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has honoured the Dar Al Ber Society during the silver jubilee celebrations of the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) in appreciation of its tireless philanthropic works.

Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, Chairman of Dar Al Ber Society, said the Sharjah Charity International has spared no effort to boost charity and humanitarian work over its 25-year history.

“The Sharjah Charity International has spent over AED1 billion on charitable and humanitarian projects locally and in 84 countries worldwide for the benefit of the poor, needy, low-income families, patients, and those with special needs, let alone the philanthropic programmes initiated in line with the directives of the UAE prudent leadership.

Al Mazrouie said the pioneering charity achievements reflect the Sharjah Charity International’s dedication to philanthropic work and social solidarity. “The late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Sultan Al Nahyan and UAE forefathers have laid down the founding steps of charity work in the country.

The same trend of charity work, deeply engraved in the hearts and minds of the Emiratis, has been boosted by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the UAE, he added.

“It is due to our rulers’ devotion that the country has become a strong civilised country that efficiently participates in human civilisation and spreads the values of peaceful coexistence, security, stability and progress,” he said, praying to Almighty Allah to protect the UAE, and keep it safe, secure, and prosperous, and all Muslim countries. The celebration, held recently at the Sharjah Cultural Palace, saw the presence of Sheikh Essam bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman, SCI, Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Executive Council and Deputy Chairman, SCI, Brigadier Abdullah Mubarak Al Dakhan, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, along with a number of senior officials, dignitaries, and philanthropists in the UAE.
