DFWAC celebrates National Day with host of colourful activities

DUBAI: Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, DFWAC, joined the nation in celebrating the 43rd UAE National Day in a befitting manner with a host of Emirati’s cultural traditional activities.

Afra Al Basti, Director-General of the Foundation, department managers and all staff and guests attended the ceremony, which started with the playing of the UAE national anthem.

Speaking on the occasion, Afra Al Basti said that all Emiratis are filled with pride that they belong to this country under this leadership, which has managed to lead the UAE to the global forefront in many areas, particularly with regard to women, as society has become reliant on their important and effective role in achieving more leading achievements, as well as with regard to children who have been provided with all legislation and regulations that will ensure the raising of the nation’s children in a safe environment with the best means of care.

She added that this historic anniversary comes because of its unprecedented achievements, and what it offers to its citizens in various fields, to implement the vision of its leadership led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his brother the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, who continued on the same path as the UAE founders.

Sheikha Al Mansouri, Assistant Director-General for Corporate Support of DFWAC, said, “On the forty-third anniversary of the Union, everyone is inspired with the big and noble values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, may God rest their souls, and their brethren Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, which will continue to be planted in the hearts of all the sons of the nation.” She added, “On this day we renew our covenant to the UAE and our leadership to move forward in achieving the desired goals in the process of revival and development, especially in the field of women and child care, and we call on the Almighty Allah to protect our great nation and its wise leadership, and support them to continue their efforts for the good and prosperity of this country.”
