DSOA donates AED2 million for UAE Suqia initiative

DUBAI: Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, DSOA, the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis, the integrated free zone technology park, today pledged AED2 million to the U.A.E. Water Aid initiative, U.A.E. Suqia.

Launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the campaign, which began on the first day of Ramadan, aims to provide clean water to five million people worldwide. The initiative will be implemented through the digging of wells and facilitating the provision of water pumps and water purification equipment to needy areas.

Dr. Mohammed Alzarooni, Vice Chairman and CEO of DSOA, said, “Under the guidance of our wise leadership, the U.A.E. is widely regarded as the capital of humanitarian initiatives. We are, therefore, overjoyed to be part of this important philanthropic initiative under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.” DSOA s donation is in line with its social responsibility strategy, which pays particular attention to the environment, society, and human resourcing both within and beyond the U.A.E..
