Dubai Chamber promotes staff awareness of the various DGEP award categories

Dubai, 5th February, 2015 (WAM) – Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted officials of the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) at a special workshop held at its head office recently. The workshop was organised to inform employees about the amendments to some of the excellence award categories.

The workshop, which was conducted by Dr. Ziad Al Kahlout, Quality and Excellence Aisor, and Mr. Osama Hammad, Senior Aisor from DGEP Secretariat General, was attended by Dubai Chamber Aisers, Heads of Departments, in-house excellence team and staff members.

As the workshop focused on the amendments to the concepts of happiness, positive energy and smart technologies in the various DGEP award categories, the staff members benefited from the extensive explanation provided by the aisers as they used the session to get their questions and doubts cleared on the concepts.

Mr. Essa Ali Al Zaabi, Senior Vice President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber, stated that the workshop indicates the excellent cooperation that exists between Dubai Chamber and the DGEP while highlighting the Chamber’s commitment to create a stimulating work environment and to motivate its staff members in offering world-class services to over 169,000 members belonging to the diverse business community of Dubai.

Mr. Al Zaabi further stressed that the Chamber was at the forefront of enhancing its employees’ awareness about the amendments to the DGEP award categories in line with the award’s objective of encouraging excellence, efficiency and creativity.

He also thanked the programme officials for their cooperation and contribution to supporting Dubai Chamber’s efforts in adopting best practices in institutional excellence while providing value-added services to Dubai businesses.

Last year, Dubai Chamber organised a number of workshops highlighting the various concepts and categories of the DGEP award as well as exchanged experiences and knowledge with other Government entities and departments during 15 official visits which emphasized on offering excellent services to the business community.
