Dubai Customs wins Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability 2015

DUBAI, 22nd November, 2015 (WAM) — Dubai Customs, DC, has won the Golden Peacock Global Award for Global Sustainability for the year 2015, in recognition of its effective contributions towards global sustainability in pursuance of UAE Vision 2021, and the directives of the wise UAE leadership to adopt sustainable, community-friendly policies and business strategies.
It is the second time in a row that DC has won the award, which has been organised annually since 1991 by The Institute of Directors in India to encourage initiatives in promoting sustainable development, and is regarded as a benchmark of corporate excellence worldwide.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Secretary of the UAE Embassy in the UK, received the award on behalf of Dubai Customs, during the 15th London Global Convention on Corporate Governance and Sustainability and the Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony which was held recently at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London.
