Dubai hosts Social Media Summit 2014 on Monday

DUBAI: A wide range of topics highlighting the significance of social media strategies as key drivers of business growth will be discussed in the Social Media Summit, which will take place on this coming Monday in Dubai.

Mona Al Marri, Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office will deliver the keynote at the inaugural edition of the summit at Armani Hotel, Dubai.

Hosted by AreebaAreeba, the new world social networking website in the Middle East with more than three million active users, the summit will feature speakers from leading global and regional technology and media groups including Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, Microsoft, IBM, du, Etisalat, CNBC Arabia, CNN Arabic, OSN, Nissan, Blackberry, Dubai Media Inc. (DMI) and more.

The summit is expected to attract more than 200 delegates from across the region.

His Highness launched the Arab Social Media Award to honour institutions and individuals who employ social media platforms to bring about and sustain positive development within societies,” Al Marri added.
