DUBAI: Dubai Ladies Club, in collaboration with Dubai Autism Centre, has hosted a special day of relaxation and rejuvenation for mothers of children with autism.
The agenda for the day included a full day pampering programme that began with a social coffee gathering, and followed by a variety of indoor and outdoor activities at the Club.
Lamia Abdulaziz Khan, Director of Dubai Ladies Club, said, “We wanted to provide mothers of children with autism the opportunity to take a moment for themselves to revive their mind, body, and spirit. Dubai Ladies Club is delighted to create this special experience for mothers to unwind and also connect with other mothers of children with special needs to exchange stories of their challenges and joys.” During the event, the Dubai Autism Centre presented Lamia Abdulaziz, an award in recognition of the prominent role played by Dubai Ladies Club in community service.
Since its inception in 2003, the Dubai Ladies Club has consistently worked towards enriching the lives of Emirati and expatriate women living in the UAE through in-house events, facilities and pilot projects.
