Dubai World Central to showcase World Class Business Aviation offering at MEBA 2014

DUBAI: Dubai World Central, DWC, the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis, will showcase its world class infrastructure and facilities that meet the business needs of the wider aviation industry at the sixth edition of the Middle East Business Aviation, MEBA, exhibition, to be held at DWC’s Aviation District from 8th-10th December, 2014.

Rashed Bu Qara’a, Chief Operating Officer, Dubai Aviation City Corporation, DACC, said, “As a permanent landmark venue, holding the Middle East Business Aviation exhibition at DWC’s Aviation District is testament to the size and importance of business aviation in the UAE and wider region.

The event falls perfectly in line with Dubai’s strategic vision to develop the region as an aerospace hub. MEBA acts as the ideal platform for us to assess the needs of the industry and understand the business requirements of our stakeholders to ensure we are consistently working towards that shared vision.” DWC’s participation at MEBA comes on the back of its efforts to contribute to developing the region’s aerospace ecosystem. On stand 675, DWC will highlight the latest advancements that are on the ground and ready for business within the Aviation District. In addition to the signing of new agreements with key stakeholders from within the industry, DWC will also reveal plans for new state of the art developments within the district that will impact business aviation in the region.

Held every two years, MEBA is the most established business aviation event in the Middle East and the largest event of its kind outside of Europe and North America. It brings together leading organisations and thought leaders from the business aviation community and provides a platform for them to showcase their offering, network and exchange best practices and knowledge.

The three-day exhibition will draw the participation of a wide cross-section of the industry including MROs, jet owners and operators, air charters, manufacturers, ground operators, airlines and educational and training institutions.

Covering 6.7 sq km of land adjacent to Al Maktoum International Airport, the Aviation District has been strategically envisioned as an ecosystem that meets the needs of modern-day aviation businesses.

The MEBA 2014 edition is expected to attract 8,000 attendees, 420 exhibitors and 50 business aircraft on 75,000 sq m of exhibition space.
