Egyptian families benefit from Khalifa Foundation projects

CAIRO: In implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has carried out a number of projects in the Arab Republic of Egypt. About 100,000 families have benefited from the Foundation’s projects which cost about EGP 70 million.

The projects were supported by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, and followed up by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Chairman of Khalifa Foundation.

Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, Khalifa Foundation’s Director-General, highlighted the U.A.E. leadership’s keenness to offer a helping hand to the brotherly people of Egypt. He added that the foundation’s projects in Egypt were implemented in collaboration with U.A.E. Embassy in Cairo through four stages.

He explained that first two stages have been implemented during the first half of 2014 while the other two stages will be implemented before the end of this year.

Al Khouri said the third and fourth stages of the foundation’s projects are targeting the poorest families in the governorates of Egypt, and these phases will include various charitable projects such as providing food, reconstruction of houses, providing electricity and clean water, etc..

Al Orman Association, which co-operated with the foundation in implementing these projects, expressed its thanks and appreciation to the U.A.E.’s wise leadership and the foundation’s support.

Egyptian families benefiting from the projects expressed their deep appreciation for this humanitarian gesture provided by the U.A.E.’s higher leadership.
