Egyptian President receives Saudi Royal Court Chairman, Qatar Emir’s Special Envoy

CAIRO: Egyptian President, Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, has discussed ways of activating Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud’s initiative put forward during the Riyadh conference with the Chairman of the Saudi Royal Court and the King’s envoy, Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Tweijri, and Qatari Emir Special Envoy, Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman.

According to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency, the meeting also tackled the decisions made in that conference and commitment by all the GCC countries to support Egypt and contribute to its security and stability, including bolstering conciliation among Arab countries, especially between Egypt and Qatar.

Al-Sisi hailed the sincere efforts of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud to achieve unity among the Arab countries and end divisions and interferences in countries’ internal affairs. Al-Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to a new era with unity among Arab countries as a priority, an end to past disagreements, and to work sincerely on a common vision with hopes to achieve respect and the aspirations of the Arab peoples.
