Elysee Palace issues communique on Mohamed bin Zayed’s talks with President Hollande

PARIS, 10th February, 2015 (WAM) — The French Presidency has issued a communique at the conclusion of talks between His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and French President Francois Hollande, which were focused on the bilateral relations between their two countries and ways of promoting them in all spheres in the service of their common interests, as well as on their desire for expanding bilateral cooperation in public and private sectors, as well as benefiting from the economic and investment opportunities in both countries.

In the communique, the Elysee Palace said that His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the French president expressed their convergence of views on regional and international issues, particularly with regard to the need to join the efforts to combat terrorism.

The Elysee’s communique also noted that the two leaders expressed their satisfaction with the level of the strong, exemplary and successful relations between the UAE and France, as well as their determination to provide more opportunities for the expansion of their bilateral cooperation in the fields of defence, economy, investment, culture and education.

The two leaders also stressed the importance of the role and strategy of their countries for renewing and developing the renewable energy resources of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
