Emirates Post Group raises funds for Tarahamou campaign

DUBAI, 4th February, 2015 (WAM) — Emirates Post Group held a Charity Dish event at its head office in Dubai to raise funds for the Tarahamou campaign in association with the Emirates Red Crescent. The money raised will go to support Syrian refugees in the Levant.

The event was attended by Sultan Al Midfa, CEO of Postal Operations, Sami Al Khaja, CEO of Support Services, Mohammed Kamal, CEO of Business Development, Fawzia Al Watani, CEO of Strategy Department, and Abdullah Al Zarouni, Director of the Emirates Red Crescent branch in Dubai. A large number of employees joined the programme and bought food for charitable purposes.

Employees from the Support Services department competed with each other in cooking various popular dishes and selling them at the venue. The activity was part of EPG’s efforts to strengthen social relations within the group as well as with the outside community.

Fahad Al Hosani, Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group, said that he appreciated the role of the Emirates Red Crescent in supporting community programmes and said that the initiative formed part of EPG’s CSR activity. He said Emirates Post Group was pleased to support initiatives and campaigns of the ERC and added that the Charity Dish initiative was an ideal way of raising funds for a worthy charitable cause.
