Estonian president visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

ABU DHABI, 27th October, 2015 (WAM) – Estonia’s President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, today visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (SZGM), in Abu Dhabi.
IIves toured the mosque’s halls and was briefed on the Islamic architecture and the history of the edifice, which plays an important role in promoting intercultural communication. He also got an insight into the Islamic architecture of the mosque, its facilities and establishment.
The Estonian president visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. There, he recalled the late leader’s wisdom and his approach to promoting the culture of tolerance and peaceful co-existence among all peoples of the world.
At the end of the visit, the Estonian leader received a copy of “Spaces of Light” Book, one of the centre’s publications.
