Federal Authority for Government Human Resources launches HR development guide

DUBAI: The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched a guide to the development of human resources (HR) departments of federal government ministries and entities.

Director-General of FAHR Abdulrahman Al Awar said the launch of the new guide reflects the authority’s interest in enabling human resources departments to perform their duties, ensuring that they have strategic added value, increasing their efficiency, professionally building the skills and capabilities of human resources as well as developing a sustainable work environment that attracts the best resources to the federal government.

Acting Executive Director- HR Policies at FAHR Aisha Khalifa Al Suwaidi explained that the development of the guide was based on the performance of HR departments which will have to determine their needs in order to help in the successful implementation of strategic plans.

Al Suwaidi added that the development of human resources departments is the most important phase of the overall development of federal government ministries and entities as these departments will have to undertake additional tasks such as the management of skills, automation of procedures and preparation of flowcharts.
