FNC Speaker receives Indian Ambassador

DUBAI: Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) received yesterday at the FNC’s Headquarters, T. P. Seetharam, Ambassador of India to the U.A.E.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the existing relations between the two countries, and ways to activate parliamentary cooperation ties between the FNC and Indian Parliament through exchanging visits and expertise as well as reviewing the two countries’ parliamentary experiences.

They also discussed the existing economic relations, especially in the areas of tourism and investment. Al Murr emphasised that the U.A.E. has an attractive environment for various investments given its sophisticated infrastructure.

The FNC Speaker also briefed him on the role of the Council locally and internationally, citing the U.A.E.’s keenness on highlighting the country’s stature.

He also added that there is a legislative system, which copes with the development and progress, being witnessed by the U.A.E. in various domains.

For his part, the Indian envoy hailed the progress and development, being experienced by the U.A.E. in various fields, thanks to the support by its wise leadership. He also underscored his country’s keenness on boosting the existing ties between the two sides in various fields, especially in the economic, investment and tourist domains.
