Future governments top agenda of Government Summit 2015

ABU DHABI, 5th February, 2015 (WAM) — The Government Summit 2015 will kick off on 9th February under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to discuss governments of the future as well as critical changes taking place at the global level in the development of government services.

During the summit, Sheikh Mohammed will launch ‘The Museum of Future Government Services’ that includes an exhibition on new technologies that can provide future government services as well as applications that will shape a new generation of future services.

His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will deliver a keynote speech at the Summit. As many as 87 countries will participate in the event.

Meanwhile, a number of officials said the participation of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in the Summit, “reflects his keenness to upgrade the government performance to world class-level in all fields.” They added that the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “is always a forerunner in the organisation of aanced conferences and exhibitions with the aim to improve and develop the government’s work.” Organised under the theme, ‘Shaping Future Governments’, the summit will be held in partnership with the United Nations, World Bank, World Economic Forum Davos and the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development.
