Global attribute to UAE efforts for integrating people with disabilities

LISBON, 30th July, 2015 (WAM) — The eighth Annual International Conference on Integrating People with Disabilities at the University of Lisbon, Portugal “ISEC2015 , has recommended the integration of children with disabilities since childhood.
The event was attended by international experts, who praised the UAE’s efforts in integrating the people with disabilities.
Dr. Eman Gaad, Educational Aiser to Down Syndrome Society, Dean of Faculty of Education, British University in Dubai, who addressed the conference as a key speaker, said, “The conference is the world’s largest on covering issues of the educational integration of all people with disabilities, including people with Down Syndrome.”
She referred to the unlimited support of the UAE led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses the Rulers of Emirates, to the people with Down syndrome.
The Conference is organised annually by the National Association of Teachers of Special Education in Portugal with the participation of 30 countries this year.
It focused on the GCC experience to incorporate the people with disabilities into the community.
