Hamdan bin Mubarak, S.Korean minister discussed educational cooperation

ABU DHABI, 11th February 2015 (WAM) — Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and South Korean Minister of Education, Hwang Woo-yea, on Wednesday discussed ways of cooperation between their two countries on higher education.

During the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the Third Government Summit in Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that the UAE takes great interest in women education and in helping other countries achieve gender equality.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening educational relations noting that the Summit focused on the topic of innovation in education.

For his part, the Minister Woo-yea hailed the speech delivered by His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the first day of the Summit, in which he stressed the importance of innovation and developing educational systems in order to acquire capabilities and achieve development of global standards.
