Hamdan bin Rashid to honour winners of Dubai International Award for Best Practices tomorrow

DUBAI, 23rd February, 2015 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, will tomorrow honour the winners of the 10th cycle of the Dubai International Award for Best Practices at the headquarters of the Culture and Science Forum in Dubai.

A number of international and Arab figures have been invited to the event, organised by the Dubai Municipality every two years. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said that this year’s edition was characterised by the participation of the private sector and civil society organisations in some countries.

During the forum, organised by the Dubai Municipality to present the winners of the competition, Lootah, in a speech delivered on his behalf by Abdullah Mohammed Rafia, Assistant Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said that the value of this year’s award has reached US$27,000.

Rafia added that the Dubai International Award for Best Practices plays a crucial role in documenting best practices from across the world. He also added that the Best Practices and Local Leadership Programme and its partners will benefit from the best practices that win in the event.
