Hamdan bin Rashid visits King Abdul Aziz Endowment Complex

JEDDAH: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and U.A.E. Minister of Finance, has visited the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Complex in the Holy City of Makkah, on the sidelines of his participation in the Islamic Development Bank meetings in Jeddah.

Sheikh Hamdan was also briefed on the details of the Makkah Clock, a historic landmark and unique masterpiece. He expressed his pride in this artistic and scientific achievement, carried out by the hands and minds of Arab people.

Sheikh Hamdan and his accompanying delegation performed Umrah, calling on Allah Almighty to preserve the leadership and the homeland from all evil and to grace the nation with stability and prosperity for the happiness of all people.

The King Abdul Aziz Endowment Complex is the tallest building in Saudi Arabia. The Makkah Royal Clock Tower sits at the centre of the complex at a staggeringly high 577 metres, and has 76 storeys. The clock face is 40 metres in diameter.
