ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), has underscored the importance of accurate, comprehensive and timely demographic data to support decision making and strategic planning to enhance the global competitiveness of the country, and thus ensure its prosperity and progress as well as contribute to the overall development.
Sheikh Hazza made his remarks while presiding over the EIDA’s Board of Directors meeting in the presence of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Identity Authority.
Sheikh Hazza urged the authority’s staff to focus on accuracy of data and good quality of the population register system. He also praised the authority’s achievements in 2014, underlining the importance of steadily making more achievements in the coming year to preserve the EIDA’s gains and achievements.
He also reviewed the latest developments regarding electronic link project between EIDA and other institutions of the country as well as the implementation of estimated budget until the end of November.
