Khalid bin Zayed chairs new ZHO board’s first meeting

ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs(ZHO) today chaired the first meeting of the organisation’s new board of directors.

In his remarks during the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Khalid urged the organisation’s staff to double their efforts in the service of people with special needs, and said the organisation will launch a strategy for humanitarian and social work in line with the social development goals of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The new strategy will see the launch of a number of new initiatives and project which focus on services of the highest quality for the disabled, he added.

Sheikh Khalid also re-affirmed that the support extended to the organisation by the U.A.E. leadership is in continuation of the enduring humanitarian legacy of the nation’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for providing full support for people with special needs.

H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed also praised His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of U.A.E. Armed Forces for his ongoing support for, and sponsorship of the organisation’s projects and strategic initiatives.
