King of Morroco, Mohamed bin Zayed offer Friday sermon at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Mosque Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI: His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today offered the Juma Prayer at the Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

The Friday Sermon (Khutbah) was delivered by Sheikh Taleb Al Shehi. In his sermon, Al Shehi spoke of building nations, stressing the importance of stability as a critical goal of the teachings of Islam.

He also presented several models to explain the importance of preserving security of nations, as well as Allah’s orders to not threaten innocent people.

Al Shehi further pointed out that extremism is one of the most dangerous factors that threaten stability, explaining the demerits of not following the correct teachings of the religion. He added, ”Preserving security is a common responsibility of all people, which requires rallying efforts and cooperation to protect the achievements and gains of countries, especially from the side of scholars, intellectuals, journalists and others.” Ending his sermon, Al Shehi prayed Almighty to rest the soul of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in peace, as well as to grant security for the UAE and Islamic nations and for good luck to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Supreme Council Members and Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the interest of the country and homeland.
