DUBAI: Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has met a number of staff as part of the Al Majlis open-door initiative to strengthen relationships between management and staff.
The Al Majlis initiative supports DEWA’s efforts to enhance its open-door policy, where management meets with staff, listens to them, and exchanges views in all issues related to the work environment.
The meeting was attended by Khawla Al Mehairi, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Maryam Al-Mutaiwei, Vice President of Human Resources, and other DEWA officials.
Al Tayer on the occasion emphasised the importance of such meetings between higher management and staff. “The Al Majlis initiative supports our vision to become a sustainable world-class utility. DEWA is committed to taking care of its staff and develop their job capabilities to improve efficiency and excellence. This in turn, enhances their job satisfaction and loyalty.” Al Tayer noted that DEWA provides different training and development programmes in the workplace. It spares no efforts to encourage its staff to improve their performance by taking up development and learning opportunities at DEWA.
