DUBAI: The Ministry of State for Federal National Council, MFNCA, held its third meeting for coordinators at federal ministries and institutions to enhance communication between the government and the Federal National Council, FNC.
The meeting was attended by Tariq Hilal Lootah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Abdul Aziz Abdullah Bin Darwish, Assistant Secretary-General of Committees and Sessions at FNC, Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghufli, Assistant Under-Secretary for Federal National Council Affairs, Ministry of State for the Federal National Council, in addition to a number of deputy ministers, advisers to ministers, coordinators and specialists.
Tariq Hilal Lootah, in a speech at the opening of the forum, said, “The Ministry is committed to implement our various projects and initiatives in line with the UAE Vision 2021. In this, the coordination between the government and FNC is of strategic importance. The annual meeting is part of the Ministry’s strategic objective to promote and enhance cooperation between FNC and the Government, and achieve comprehensive responses to address the requirements of citizens.” He added that strengthening cooperation and coordination between the government and the FNC reflects the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to meet all the needs and requirements of the Council.
He added, “We undertake brainstorming sessions and meetings to obtain practical and efficient suggestions and ideas that will help enhance our operations and achieve our strategic objectives.” Abdul Aziz Abdullah bin Darwish provided an overview of the mechanisms of action of the Federal National Council. Jaber Al Zaabi, Director of the Committees of the General Secretariat of the FNC, spoke about the challenges facing the committees.
An open discussion was held for the participants to express their views and suggestions, thus contributing to strengthening the coordination between the government and the FNC. The coordinators were also honoured at the event.
The meeting is one of the annual initiatives organised by the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs in addition to several other initiatives aimed at enhancing coordination between the government and the FNC.
