Ministry of Environment celebrates 43rd UAE National Day

ABU DHABI: On the occasion of UAE 43rd National Day, Dr. Rashid Ahmed Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, conveyed his best wishes and warmest regards to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and to Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and UAE nationals.

The Ministry of Environment and Water, MoEW, celebrated National Day at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai, with the participation of its employees and a number of federal and local authorities including the Ministry of Youth and Community Development, Al Haboos Folklore and Heritage Society, UAE Orchestra , Dubai Hobbies Club, UAE Volunteer Club, Al Bara’a Nurcery and Al Haya Nursery.

During the event, MoEW employees conveyed their love of the country and gratitude to the founders and Rulers of the UAE. The ceremony began with the national anthem performed by the UAE Orchestra followed by the oath of allegiance and a traditional UAE dance. The celebration programme included a competition and performances by the nurseries and hobbies club.

At the end of the ceremony, the MoEW announced the winners of the of the best picture portraying love of the country and the winners of the best decorated department.
