Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds farewell party for UK Ambassador

ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today hosted a farewell party for the U.K. Ambassador to the U.A.E., Dominic Jermey, to mark the end of his tenure in the country.

During the ceremony, which was held at the InterContinental Hotel, Assistant Secretary of State for International Organisation Affairs, Dr. Tarek Ahmed Al Haidan, commended the ambassador’s role in strengthening the relations between the two countries, wishing him success in his future.

The ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to officials of the state in general and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in particular for their cooperation which he said had a positive impact on the success of his mission. He also praised the wise policies of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the distinguished relations between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by Shihab Al Fahim, Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdullah bin Saeed Al Matrooshi, Acting Director of the Department of European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of members of the Arab and Foreign diplomatic corps accredited to the country.
