MoF announces its annual plan of capacity building initiative for federal financial procedures specialists

ABU DHABI, 12th February, 2015 (WAM) — In line with its commitment to raise the efficiency levels of the systems for government financial work, the Ministry of Finance, MoF, recently announced its annual plan of the capacity building initiative for specialists on the implementation of the financial procedures and systems among ministries and federal government entities within the UAE.

This initiative will be built based on several training workshops which will cover nine key elements throughout 2015 and will be held in the Ministry’s premises in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Mariam Mohammad Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Management of Financial Resources stressed on the Ministry’s commitment in strengthening its role in building capacity for system users in federal government entities, and following the laws and regulations of the fiscal policies adopted by the UAE Cabinet. These laws were built in accordance of the best practices in these respective fields.

MoF has previously conducted 23 training workshops as part of its 2013 – 2014 annual plan. 24 additional workshops were organised as per the needs and requirements of federal government entities. The total number of participants in these training workshops amounted to 1,536 trainees from different federal government entities.
