MoFA Under-Secretary receives copy of credentials of Colombian Ambassador

ABU DHABI, 4th February, 2015 (WAM) — Mohammad Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received a copy of the credentials of Fayhan Al Fayez Shalhoub, Ambassador of Colombia to the UAE, at the Ministry today.

Al Raisi wished the new envoy success in his mission of boosting bilateral ties between the UAE and Colombia.

On his part, the new ambassador expressed his delight at representing his country in the UAE, which he said enjoys prominent regional and international standing thanks to the wise policies adopted by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

UAE and Colombia established diplomatic relations in 1975. The UAE opened its diplomatic mission in the Colombian capital, Bogota, in 2013, a move reciprocated by Colombia in 2011.
