Mohamed bin Zayed meets French defence minister

PARIS, 10th February, 2015 (WAM) — His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday met with French Minister of Defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian.

During their meeting, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Minister Le Drian discussed the friendship and cooperation between their two countries an ways of bolstering and promoting them in the service of their mutual interests.

The two sides also explored the UAE-French bilateral relations in military and defence spheres as well as the level of their coordination in the light of the keen interest of the two countries’ leaders in elevating the level of bilateral cooperation.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the French defence minster also discussed a number of matters of mutual concern as well as the regional and international developments.

The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Aisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Staff Major General Eisa bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Madhed Hareb Al Khaiili, Ambassador of the UAE to France, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
