Mohamed bin Zayed received Russian, Dutch, Greek ministers

ABU DHABI, 21st February, 2015 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received separately today the Russian minister of Industry and trade Denis Manturov, Dutch minister of defence Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, and Greek minister of defence Panos Kammenos, all of whom are visiting the UAE to participate in the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2015) which will start tomorrow.

Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the ministers and discussed with them ways to enhance UAE’s bilateral ties with their respective countries.

The meetings also touched on cooperation and coordination in military and defence fields, as well as latest regional and international developments of mutual interest.

During the meetings, Sheikh Mohamed engaged in talks with the ministers about IDEX, a key international platform for showcasing the latest technologies in defence manufacturing which will see this year participation of 1,200 exhibitors from 55 countries, in addition to pavilions of 42 countries and 150 official delegations comprising senior officials, decision makers, defence ministers, chiefs of staff and experts from around the world.

The meetings were attended by Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Lt. General Juma Ahmed Al Bowardi, Military Aisor of the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and the ambassadors of Russia, the Netherlands and Greece.
