Mohamed bin Zayed receives UAE National Jiu Jitsu team

ABU DHABI, 24th November, 2015 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received players of the UAE National Jiu Jitsu team, which won the World Jiu Jitsu Championship in Thailand, at Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The team was led by Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, Chairman of UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Sheikh Mohamed congratulated the players on the sports trophy and wished them further good luck and accomplishments in the coming international championships.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his happiness at the high performance and skills of the Emirati players, as well as their speed for acquiring experiences.
He added, ”Your outstanding performance and excellence should be a stimulus to continue tireless work and exert more efforts to achieve the best.”
In a related context, player Faisal Al Ketbi has won the gold medal in the weight above 90 kg in the championship held recently in Thailand, and Zayed Al Ka’abi clinched the silver medal, while Khalfan Belhool won the silver medal in the weight under 85 kg.
The players expressed their happiness at meeting Sheikh Mohamed, praising his support for the game.
Al Hashemi also extended thanks and appreciation for The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, expressing that meeting him was more precious than winning the championship.
