Mohammed bin Rashid attends reception for participants in Dubai World Cup

DUBAI: Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has attended a reception and dinner hosted by Falcon and Associates at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, for owners, breeders, trainers and participants in the 19th edition Dubai World Cup which kicks off today at the group’s Nad al Sheba Racecourse.

In her speech at the reception, HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, welcomed the guests who came from all over the world and wished for a good stay for them in Dubai.

HRH Princess Haya highlighted the history of Dubai World Cup since its launch in 1996 on directives by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who wanted it to be the world’s richest competition on the world’s biggest and most famous racecourse.

Also present at the reception and dinner were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General Of Protocol Department of Dubai, Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Meydan, John Ferguson, Chairman of Falcon and Associates, and senior officials.
