Mohammed bin Rashid meets Egyptian President Final version

DUBAI, 27th October, 2015 (WAM)–Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today met with visiting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and a delegation accompanying him at the Executive Office. Sheikh Mohammed and President El Sisi discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
Crown Prince of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Deputy Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the meeting.
Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that a stronger Egypt supports the Arab world, adding that Emirati-Egyptian relations are based on the brotherhood, partnership and mutual understanding that was established by Sheikh Zayed and developed by Sheikh Khalifa.
Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Egyptian President in the UAE, indicating that Egypt, its people and leadership are partners of the UAE especially in the fields of education, culture and economy.
Sheikh Mohammed and the visiting Egyptian President discussed cooperation between the UAE and Egypt for the benefit of both nations. His Highness affirmed the importance of expanding and diversifying cooperation in the areas of economy, investment and development.
Sheikh Mohammed briefed President El Sisi on UAE Strategy 2021 and the government’s efforts to enhance UAE’s global status and competiveness through a number of organisations that work in harmony.
The Vice President also briefed the Egyptian delegation on the UAE’s experience in developing and implementing long-term strategies, establishing robust systems and KPIs to monitor government performance, preparing the new generation of leaders and developing programmes to enhance capabilities in quality control and innovation in the government sector. Sheikh Mohammed also briefed the Egyptian delegation on UAE’s e-government programme and plans to transform government services into smart services.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid expressed his confidence that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is on the path to stability and prosperity so that it can play its important role in the region.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum Foundation Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State, Chairman of the UAE-Funded Development Projects in Egypt Mohammed Al Dhahiri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.
