Mohammed bin Rashid tours Gulfood

Dubai, 8th February, 2015 (WAM) – Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on Sunday visited the 20th edition of Gulfood, the world’s largest annual food and hospitality trade show, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from February 8 to 12.

Flanked by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality, Sheikh Mohammed took a tour of the trade show in which more than 4,800 companies from the UAE and other foreign countries are participating across 130,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by Helal Saeed Al Marri, CEO of DWTC, on the progress of the event since it was launched 20 years ago as well as events and activities taking place on the sidelines.

Sheikh Mohammed hailed Gulfood as a major international exhibition specalising in the health of man and the food system and seeking to find innovative methods to produce food.
