Mohammed bin Rashid visits Womenand#039s Museum in Dubai

DUBAI, 31st May, 2015 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has visited the Women’s Museum in the Gold Souk Market, Deira, Dubai.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed visited “Mahbat Al Khair Dubai” Exhibition, which includes an important historical collection which tells the story of Dubai’s renaissance. His Highness was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai.
Dr. Rafia Ghubash, Founder of the Women’s Museum, briefed His Highness the Vice President and his accompanying delegation on how she organised the permanent historical exhibition in the museum.
Sheikh Mohammed commended the sincere efforts of Dr. Rafia in the revival and renewal of national heritage and its preservation.
Sheikh Mohammed conveyed his directives on the translation of the “Blessed Dubai” movie into foreign languages, so that non-Arab tourists and researchers can easily be acquainted with the emirate’s humanitarian and cultural civilisation.
The Women’s Museum contains artworks, paintings and costumes, mostly gifted by the families of deceased Emirati women.
