ABU DHABI: Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Interior, has visited the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.
Upon arrival, he was greeted by Major-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Directorate-General, Major-General Obeid Muhair bin Srour, Deputy Director-General, along with a number of officers from the Directorate.
During the visit, Lt. General Al Sha’far met with ship owners in a meeting organised by the Land and Maritime Ports Sector, in collaboration with strategic partners. The meeting aimed to answer their queries and taking note of their observations, with a view to developing and boosting work in the maritime and cruise tourism sector.
Al Sha’far stressed the need to identify customers’ needs, as well as taking their opinions and suggestions into account and striving to implement them. He called upon staff members to exert additional efforts to streamline customers’ transactions and provide them with distinguished services. He also urged them to show good manners when dealing with customers, according to the applicable rules and regulations.
The Under-Secretary toured the Directorate-General, where he was briefed on the workflow in its different sectors and sections. He also called upon staff members to make additional efforts to improve the quality of services, process the public’s transactions as fast as possible in order to save customers’ time and effort and endeavor to overcome any potential obstacles they might encounter. In conclusion, he praised the distinguished work, facilities and services provided by the Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai to its customers.
Major-General Al Marri expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Under-Secretary. He also expressed his unrelenting keenness to following up on work processes at the Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, in addition to supporting and providing the appropriate directives that would enhance and develop this sector, in pursuance of the police leadership’s aspirations and goals.
