Nahyan bin Mubarak inaugurates Women in the World Summit in Dubai

DUBAI, 4th February, 2015 (WAM) — Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, yesterday opened the Women in the World Summit in Dubai.

The summit was organised by the General Electric Company, with the participation of several prominent female figure from various countries.

The event was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State, Noura Al Kaabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi (twofour54), Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, Founder of Beit Al Khair Foundation, Tina Brown, Founder and CEO of Tina Brown Live Media and Founder of the Women in the World Forum, Deborah Jones, US Ambassador to Libya and Maliha Lodhi, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, along with a number of female prominent figures, journalists, lawyers and TV and film production celebrities.

Sheikh Nahyan expressed his thanks to Tina Brown and General Electric for organising this event in the UAE, expressing his happiness at the presence of many prominent international female figures at the summit’s events in Dubai. He also expressed his gratitude to Noura Al Kaabi and her colleagues on their esteemed efforts in organising the summit.
