Nahyan bin Mubarak opens higher education and career exhibition

ABU DHABI, 27th October, 2015 (WAM) – The UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attaches special attention to education as part of the national efforts to develop qualified, efficient human resources capable of building a promising future, said Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, while opening the 9th edition of NAJAH, the country’s leading higher education and career exhibition, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, today.
NAJAH Education Training, the largest education exhibition for local and international universities and training institutions interested in driving their student recruitment activities in the region, will provide employers an opportunity to meet thousands of attendees including high school students and fresh graduates. At NAJAH, workshops will discuss training and post graduate courses with thousands of professionals interested in career development qualifications.
It offers a platform to network with key government entities and industry colleagues Sheikh Nahyan also noted assertions by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, regarding empowering the UAE’s citizens with science and knowledge so as to hold higher and leadership positions to promote the UAE’s modernisation drive.
Sheikh Nahyan said the UAE has, in a short span of time, become one of the most attractive destinations for prominent international higher education institutions.
The three-day event helps job seekers, fresh graduates and high school pass-outs enhance their professional skills and look for higher education and career opportunities with companies and institutions.
NAJAH, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 27th to 29th October 2015, will be offering a number of career enhancing workshops which will be free for visitors to take part in, with international leadership development organisation ‘AIESEC’ and locally grown internship and graduate career portal InternsME.com taking part at the upcoming edition.
NAJAH is set to play host to a number of blue chip companies looking to hire young professionals across a number of industry verticals.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan, NAJAH is supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abu Dhabi Education Council and Dubai International Academic City.
NAJAH is not just the meeting place to discover undergraduateostgraduate courses and learn about career opportunities but also provides free features which are designed to help you in your future! AIESEC, the world’s largest student-run organization, will be running five interactive workshops designed to develop the leadership potential of youth through experiential learning, volunteer experiences and professional internships.
New for NAJAH 2015 – InternsME, an online portal that connects students and recent graduates with blue chip employers, will be running a “Job Search Tools” workshop which includes an interactive session on how to improve cover lettersCV’s, and createdeliver strong elevator pitches. They will also be running Video CV sessions throughout the event where they will give candidates the opportunity to create a 30 second script for their own Video CV.
