Nahyan bin Mubarak receives founder of Phoenix Black Belt Academy

ABU DHABI, 20th November, 2015 (WAM) – Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chairman of General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, today received Master Amal Graves, founder of the Phoenix Black Belt Academy in Dubai at his Palace in Al Bateen.
Master Graves was accompanied by a group of the academy students.
Master Graves said the academy delegation visited Sheikh Nahyan to thank him for his support to youth and youngsters as well as for sports in general.
She said the academy offers martial arts classes to youngsters in Taekwondo, which helps students to achieve a better working body, sharper and more focussed mind, stronger self-discipline and self-confidence and most of all, the ability to defend oneself in dangerous situations.
She explained that universal benefits of martial arts include improved physical fitness, increased focus and concentration, enhanced self-esteem, increased social skills and respect for values.
A group of students from the academy demonstrated self-defence tactics before Sheikh Nahyan.
