RAK Ruler hails Mohamed bin Zayed’s support for Jiu Jitsu Sport

RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has hailed the interest that His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces take in the Jiu Jitsu Sport in the country, which has had a positive impact and is reflected in the victories in a number of sports championships at the Asian and international levels.

Sheikh Saud said this while receiving the Organisational Committee of the RAK Jiu-Jitsu Open Championship in the presence of a number of Sheikhs and senior sports officials.

He also praised the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation for its efforts in popularising the game across the country, adding that notwithstanding the short period of time that the sport has been in the UAE, Jiu-Jitsu was able to compete at the international level, and Abu Dhabi has become a milestone in the sport of Jiu-Jitsu in the world.
