RTA inks two agreements with Civil Defence and Ambulance Services

DUBAI: The Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has signed two cooperation agreements with the Directorate General of Civil Defence and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services regarding the development of areas served by Dubai Trams.

The agreements were signed by Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Acting CEO of Rail Agency from the RTA, Brigadier Ahmed Obaid Al Sayegh, Assistant Director-General for Fire and Rescue from the Directorate General of Civil Defence, and Khalifa Aldrai, Executive Director, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, in the presence of a number of officials.

“The two agreements are instrumental in cementing the relationships with community organisations, sharing interests in common with the work nature of the RTA in general and the operational departments in particular. Such a step will help realise the objectives of improving public transport systems in Dubai Emirate as they are new mass transit systems in the community, and the cooperation of all parties is solicited towards providing better services for users,” said Al Ali.

Brigadier Al Sayegh commended the agreement which will effectively boost the concept of maintaining mobility and enhancing the standing of Dubai in the field of transport.

Khalifa Aldrai hailed the tireless efforts of the RTA in delivering a variety of vital projects in Dubai Emirate in the field of public transport highlighted by the metro.
