Saif attends graduation ceremony for cadets, university graduates at Police College

ABU DHABI, 4th February 2015 (WAM) — Under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior has attended Police College’s celebration of the graduation of 25th batch of male cadets and university graduates, and the 9th batch of female university graduates.

Also present at the ceremony were H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Mohammed Ali bin Koman, Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers.

The new cohort of graduates totaled 387 graduates both male and female, and includes 162 cadets, 205 male university students and 20 female university students. He explained that the cadets include 14 students of seven different Arab countries, two from Kuwait, three from Qatar, one from Palestine, and two students from Jordan, Yemen, Bahrain, and Comoro Islands, respectively.

In a statement, H.H. Sheikh Saif emphasised that the nation’s security and stability and the prosperity of its society is a top priority President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the efforts being made to keep the UAE at the forefront of the world’s safest and most secure and stable countries and to continue its development for further progress and prosperity.

He also hailed the generous support extended by His Highness the President, His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Member and Rulers of the Emirates for police and national human resources to enable them to protect national security and gains and ensure the safety of each national, visitor and resident.

“The next stage of the auspicious march ked by His Highness the President requires more efforts and work in order to enhance the performance of security forces and the efficiency of police services embracing at the same time relevant state-of-the-art technology and modern concepts, promoting community participation, deepening awareness and security culture among its members as security is a common responsibility in the service of sustainable developments and in the quest for keeping pace with international challenges and changes,” H.H. Sheikh Saif said.

H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed also praised the Police College for their efforts and congratulated the graduates urging them to exert more efforts in order to acquire the experience needed to express their gratitude to the country and its top leaders and keep the country as an oasis of security and prosperity.
